Company Trip Report: France 2022
Summary
Our test run of the Cranes, Trains & Automobiles initiative could be effectively summed up as an incredible success. With a quiet country house outside the Parisian vacation town of Deauville, we had access to some of France's best beaches, local cuisine, and historical landmarks.
Most of our mornings were spent either lounging around on the beaches of Deauville, traipsing around the country side, visiting local markets, or snacking on some of the best bread and cheese on the planet (to the detriment of our waistlines). On weekends, we took the rental car around the North of France, checking off bucket list items like visiting Joan of Arc's church, learning about Canada's role in WW2 while on the beaches of Normandy, and exploring the Notre Dame in Rouen.
Weekday afternoons and evenings usually did consist of project work and communicating with clients, but we managed to squeeze in some French dinners to help during our breaks.

What's next?
Our goals for the next Cranes, Trains & Automobiles excursion are to amalgamate our team's bucket list items and find a destination that helps everybody tick some more off their lists. With quite a few listing Japan - particularly the Cherry Blossom Festival - as a destination of choice, we may find ourselves in Asia in the not-so-distant future!
